The assault resulted in the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking area.

Two more people are now in custody related to a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport in which 21 people sustained injuries by what is thought to be pepper spray, according to police.

A 24-year-old man, was arrested in Lambeth on suspicion of theft and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. They both are still being held, authorities confirmed.

The arrests follow an investigation into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the incident, two women had stolen from them their suitcases upon exiting a parking garage elevator.

A three-year-old girl was among the those hurt during the incident. A total of five individuals went to hospital for treatment and have since been released.

Officers arrested a man in his thirties on suspicion of theft and assault near the scene. He has since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Authorities were called at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of a number of individuals injured by a noxious substance believed to be pepper spray.

The assault - which police said was a standalone incident and not considered terrorism - caused train delays and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the T3 parking facility briefly.
